It appears that Ellie Goulding has been revealed as the mysterious force that brought Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris together. Her reason for playing matchmaker? Their height for starters.
The 28-year-old British pop singer talked to the U.K. newspaper The Sun this week about why she set the two up.
“I did play matchmaker, that’s true,” she said. “Calvin is a really great mate and he’s so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love. I thought, ‘They’re both really awesome and both really tall, they’ll be brilliant together.'”
Harris, a 31-year-old Scottish EDM artist, is believed to be 6’5″, while the 25-year-old pop singer is 5’10”.
