Misogyny remains one of hip-hop’s long-running blemishes, but going forward Snoop Dogg wants to stop being a part of the problem. In an interview with Sky News the Doggfather says his attitude toward women has changed because of the women in his life: his wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother. However, he doesn’t regret the misogynistic lyrics of his past—of which there are many—because he says he didn’t know any better. Snoop said of his progression: I am more sensitive and more vulnerable writing-wise and accepting a woman for being a beautiful person.
