Sony and Marvel’s hunt for a new live-action Spider-Man continues to narrow, as actor Asa Butterfield was reportedly struck from the studios’ list. Butterfield, who was rumored as one of Marvel and Sony’s favorite candidates for Peter Pater and his web-swinging alter-ego, is now apparently out of the picture. As The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider reported on the latest episode of Meet The Movie Press Live, he’s heard only three actors remain in the race.
