St. Vincent has shared the magnetic, galaxy-spanning music video for “Birth in Reverse.” The clip, directed by frequent collaborator Willo Perron, finds art-rocker Annie Clark displaying her trademark robot stage moves, blinking ominously into the camera and shredding a malfunctioning modem-style solo against a backdrop of smoke and stars. Clark first shared the elastic “Birth in Reverse” as a free download in December, paired with the announcement of her fourth studio album St. Vincent. More recently, the LP came in at Number Four on Rolling Stone’s 50 Best Albums of 2014 list, while its space-rock closer, “Prince Johnny,” was ranked the year’s 44th best song.
