Nichelle Nichols is recovering after suffering a stroke yesterday.
E! News has confirmed the 82-year-old actress,best known for playing Lieutenant Uhura on Star Trek, was transferred from her home to a hospital Wednesday night.
The health scare was characterized as a mild stroke.
A representative for the ailing actress told E! News, “Nichelle Nichols is resting comfortably and under going tests.
