Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega has posted a message directed at both fans and critics. The 22-year-old Boyega, whose scene in the film’s teaser trailer led to some online criticism of a black Stormtrooper, appeared to address those comments on his Instagram page Saturday. Boyega, who starred in 2011’s Attack the Block, also thanked fans for their positive feedback. The actor wrote, “Thank you for all the love and support. I’m in the movie, but as a Star Wars fan, I’m very excited.” Star Wars: The Force Awakens stars Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver and hits theaters Dec. 15, 2015.
