Amy Schumer is looking hotter than a lightsaber on the latest cover of GQ, posing as Return of the Jedi’s captive Princess Leia. With her new movie Trainwreck coming out today and the success of her Peabody-winning sketch show, Inside Amy Schumer, the comedian is blowing up like a Death Star. Everybody seems to love this rising talent, witch the exception of Lucasfilm and Disney. The Star Wars Twitter page is up in arms like a Tusken Raider over Ms. Schumer’s unapproved use of the beloved and trademarked characters from a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Lucasfilm has always been protective of their franchise as if it was their Padawan. They’ve sued everyone from Lt. Gen. Daniel O. Graham for using the term “Star Wars” as a nickname for President Ronald Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative to Dr. Dre for using the iconic THX deep note for an intro to one of his songs.
