Stephen Colbert dedicated an entire segment of his show Thursday night to Yo, a new app that received a tremendous amount of press coverage this week after it reportedly received $1 million in funding just to let users send the word “yo” to each other. Colbert said, “when I read that the company boasts that it takes 11 taps to send the word ‘yo’ on a rival messaging service compared to just two on their app.” “That’s a nine-tap difference- taps you could be spending with your children.”
