Sweden’s Prince Carl Philip, 36, married Sofia Hellqvist, 30, on Saturday in the chapel of the Royal Palace in Stockholm in front of friends and members of the royal family.
The bride, a former reality star and glamour model, looked every bit a princess and channeled Kate Middleton by opting for long-sleeves, lace and a long train. She wore a white open V-neck wedding dress with long lace sleeves, an empire waist and a long lace-trimmed train, which kept her star-shaped tattoo between her shoulder blades revealed. After the ceremony, thousands of fans greeted the couple outside. They were then driven in a horse-drawn carriage through Stockholm before returning to the palace again for the wedding reception, Reuters reported, quoting the prince as telling the crowd, “It shows Sweden is a warm country with lots of love,” before kissing his bride, drawing applause.
