Tammy, starring Melissa McCarthy and Susan Sarandon and directed by Ben Falcone, tracks a woman’s incredibly terrible day, which includes a totaled car, a cheating husband, and a harsh firing from her job and finally the crazy road trip that follows. The husband-and-wife duo previously collaborated onscreen in Bridesmaids and The Heat, but Tammy marks the first time with McCarthy as the film’s producer-writer-star, and with Falcone as director. At the movie’s premiere, McCarthy also was joined by her parents, Michael and Sandra McCarthy.
