The Apple Music/Taylor Swift courtship took another turn on Thursday.
This time, the world’s biggest music star decided to bring 1989 to Apple Music, after all.
Many speculated this had more to do with windowing rather than anything else, but Swift upped the ante on Sunday by penning an open letter to Apple asking that it pay artists during its three-month free trial period.
Although Swift was quick to point out this wasn’t an exclusive — she’s free to bring the album to other streaming services too — she tweeted, “This is simply the first time it’s felt right in my gut to stream my album.”
