Taylor Swift launched her “1989 World Tour” this week with two shows at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, bringing a makeshift New York City to life onstage for the opening number. Swift performed every song from 1989, which has gone on to sell an eye-popping 7 million copies as of April, plus two bonus tracks from the album and three older tunes. The 25-year-old singer will eventually make her way to the U.S. with stateside openers Shawn Mendes, Vance Joy, Haim, Ellie Goulding, James Bay and John Newman. The U.S. leg of the tour begins May 20 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
