Marketing material for Paramount’s Terminator: Genisys has “This film is not yet rated” plastered over it, but the website theterminatorfans.com is reporting that the rating has been finalized. If you’ve seen the trailers or the television spots you won’t be surprised to learn that the next Terminator film is reportedly PG-13. This will make it the second film in the franchise to receive that rating. The first was Terminator Salvation, which starred Christian Bale. All of the other films in the series had been Rated R until it was neutered in the hopes of drawing a wider audience. In the end, Terminator Salvation underperformed at the box office and grossed less than the two previous films.
