Once again proving that Birdman was a loosely veiled documentary, Michael Keaton apparently used to take his Batman role pretty seriously. On Conan on Thursday night, Adam Sandler spoke about the time the SNL cast went out to dinner with Michael Keaton in the ’90s, the host of that week’s show. Keaton insisted on taking the check by gruffly saying, “I’m Batman.” I guess when you’re Batman, you can do anything you want.
