More than a month after Jon Stewart’s last episode on Aug. 6, Trevor Noah will take over the desk on Sept. 28. The network announced the news on Twitter, Thursday morning, with an accompanying video. It finds the 31-year-old comedian getting comfortable in the anchor desk, when he is interrupted by Stewart. September also sees the arrival of former Comedy Central personality Stephen Colbert on another late-night staple, CBS’ Late Show — which just saw David Letterman exit last week. Stewart has been the host of The Daily Show since 1999. And, except for several months of time off in summer 2013 to direct his feature debut Rosewater, he’s been at the helm without interruption.
