The Gambler director Rupert Wyatt has signed with UTA, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. He previously was with WME. Last winter the Englishman helmed Paramount’s remake of the 1974 drama, which starred Mark Wahlberg in the lead role originally played by James Caan. Wyatt also directed 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Twentieth Century Fox’s successful franchise reboot that grossed $483 million worldwide.
