At Image Expo today, Saga writer Brian K. Vaughan announced that he and artist Marco Martin’s hit digital comics series The Private Eye will be coming to print for the first time at Image Comics.
The deal was said to have come after much prodding from The Walking Dead comic book writer Robert Kirkman. In return, Vaughan and Martin had the honor of creating a The Walking Dead story. The story will be distributed through Vaughan and Martin’s digital comics website Panel Syndicate.
Until now, Panel Syndicate has operated on a “pay-what-you-want” model, but there was no confirmation of that model applying also to the upcoming The Walking Dead story.
