Drake spent many years honing his nuanced thespian skills on the set of Degrassi: Next Generation, but nothing could prepare him for the role he’s about to tackle. According to a casting call that recently resurfaced, Drake could be portraying a character named “Mayor Drake Ford” in a new music video for the If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late standout “Energy.” The ad calls for Rob Ford body doubles, who will (presumably) have Drake’s face superimposed onto their considerable frames. The scene is said to depict “ Mayor Drake Ford in a parking garage with a drug dealer.” Drake teased a clip for “Energy” on his Instagram earlier this week. Fans don’t get a glimpse of Mayor Drake Ford in the preview, but it certainly seems in line with the rest of the casting call.
