Let the record show: There is no TV fandom more tortured right now than the fans who love The Vampire Diaries’ Damon–played by Ian Somerhalder– and Elena–played by Nina Dobrev–a.k.a. “Delena.” No–seriously, every other fandom can just go home. In fact, Ian Somerhalder says that support is so strong that it’s “not good for the ego!”: In case you didn’t know, fans are crying because Damon passed over to another dimension, and now he can see Elena but she can’t see him. The scene was so gut-wrenching, and reminiscent of Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in Ghost, fans still get choked up at the very thought of it. Viewers will have to wait until October 2nd to find out what happens next, when the sixth season premieres.
