The whole gang’s getting back together for The X-Files revival, even the Lone Gunmen. Yes, the three amigos played by Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood will make their triumphant return alongside Gillian Anderson’s Dana Scully and David Duchovny’s Fox Mulder when The X-Files returns to Fox this January. But wait, you’re probably thinking the same thing we are: the Lone Gunmen died in season nine of the hit Fox series. And hold on a second, you’re probably thinking this too: William B. Davis’ Cigarette Smoking Man was also killed, but he’s also set to return. So how’s this going to play out? Flashbacks? Well, anything is possible in a sci-fi series that has an overarching conspiracy about alien colonists. Series creator Chris Carter is behind the six-episode event series and he also had a hand in The X-Files comic book series, a “season 10,” that saw the Lone Gunmen return and confirming they faked their death in the season nine episode.
