Cannes 2014 best actor award winner Timothy Spall and Juno Temple have boarded Away, which starts shooting in the U.K. on March 2.
The two are set to play kindred spirits who form an unlikely friendship in the drama about love, loss and hope set in the north English seaside town of Blackpool. Double-BAFTA and Emmy-award winner David Blair is directing from a script written by Roger Hadfield.
The film is being produced by Terry Stone of Gateway Films, Radio Film’s Richard Turner and Mike Knowles.
Stone in a statement, “Away is an incredible story that will touch audiences around the world.” The cast members “are superb and bring together the right mix of intensity, intelligence and gravitas required to tell this story, we can’t wait to get started.”
Cinema Management Group is handling international sales of the film.
