Actress and animal activist Tippi Hedren has expressed her outrage over the killing of a protected lion in Zimbabwe by a U.S. dentist, saying the incident “affected me physically.” The star, who is the president of the Roar Foundation charity and runs a big cat sanctuary in rural California, is one of the many celebrities who have spoken out against Dr. Walter Palmer, who shot and killed the Cecil the lion with a crossbow during a hunting expedition earlier this month.
