Tom Cruise always gives 100 percent.
That was certainly evident when he agreed to have a lip sync battle with Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s The Tonight Show Monday. Like John Krasinski and Emma Stone before him, the 53-year-old Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation star proved he’s more than capable of challenging the late-night host’s skills. In fact, the comedian himself admitted, “I’m facing off against one of the biggest movie stars of all time.”
Before it even began, Cruise said, “This is going to be ridiculous.”
As was the case with previous lip sync battles, neither the host nor the guest knew which songs their opponent picked to perform. Fallon and Cruise selected two songs each, and Cruise went first. He said, “My first song has been at the top of the charts all summer long. It’s the song of the summer. Right, Jim? Remember that? It is by the enormously talented The Weeknd and it’s entitled ‘Can’t Feel My Face.'” Cruise was so committed to his performance that even Fallon was seen dancing on the side of the stage.
