Tom Hiddleston amazed audiences around the world with his powerful portrayal of the character Loki in the last Avengers movie, and now we have word that Hiddleston was in awe of his role, as well! He was so impressed with director and writer Joss Whedon’s first draft and his character’s role in it that he wrote Joss a beautiful letter about it. Tom called his part grand and epic, majestic, poetic and lyrical. John Whedon’s letter back was shorter, but just as sweet, thanking Tom by saying, “Tom, this is one of those emails you keep forever. Thank you so much. It’s more articulate and possibly longer than the script.” Unfortunately, Loki won’t be back in the next Avengers movie, but they will always have memories of their amazing time together on the first one.
