In just 3,478 miles, you can taste test the best barbecue the United States has to offer. Or at least, the best it has to offer according to TripAdvisor, which released its list of the top-rated BBQ joints on Wednesday. The travel website compiled the rankings based on several criteria. First, restaurants had to have at least 100 reviews. Then those reviews were ranked by quantity and quality, with recent reviews — those written in the past year — worth more. According to TripAdvisor, chain restaurants with more than 10 locations were excluded.
