The premiere of Fox’s Backstrom averaged a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 8 million viewers. That’s up from the network’s comparable debut last January (Rake) — and it did so with a smaller American Idol lead-in. As for Idol, it helped secure the network’s nightly win in the key demographic by holding steady with last week and earning a 2.7 rating among adults 18-49.
