Vanessa Hudgens has only recently come around to feminism, thanks to Beyoncé!
Appearing in Broadway’s, Gigi, Hudgens told the New York Times that she didn’t always believe in feminism because she didn’t feel it was affecting women the right way.
She said, “I used to be on the fence about it, just because I feel like it gets to a certain place where it almost has the reverse effect, where it’s so overpowering and so aggressive that it’s like rather than just standing up for female pride and female rights, it becomes, like, ‘I am the man.'”
But after some of her High School Musical fans came out to see her onstage, she had a change of heart about it.
She said, “it literally felt like it was a massive group of feminists, you could just feel the serious girl power in the room.”
