The script was, as the actress who plays Big Boo on the show describes, like nothing she had ever read before.
the actress told reporters during a press event in Los Angeles on Thursday, when the new season dropped, “I had to call her and say, ‘It’s like you know me.”
In the episode, viewers finally learn the back story of DeLaria’s character, Carrie Black, better known as Big Boo, a tough-as-nails lesbian whose life before prison was a long quest to be accepted by others, including her own parents.
