But nothing strange was afoot: ABC tells E! News that Goldberg simply had a prior network commitment. Good Morning America’s Ginger Zee and author Suzy Welch sat in as guest hosts. Meanwhile, Whoopi’s absence didn’t put a damper on the greatest-moments montage played for Jenny, who is leaving the morning chatfest after one season. Sherri, who’s leaving after seven years, will have her presumably emotional (and pretaped) goodbye on Monday.
