Like The Dark Knight himself, Ben Affleck seems to find victory in foresight.
On top of taking the role of Batman in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice because–well, it’s Batman–Affleck wanted to learn how blockbuster films were made from the inside-out. Affleck told Entertainment Weekly that he thought if he was going to direct a movie like this, which he would like to do at some point, he needed to have something of a “refresher course” on how these types of movies are done.
Affleck is currently rumored as a directorial candidate for Warner Brothers’ planned solo Batman film, in which he would also star.
