New York alt-rockers X Ambassadors, the band behind the unofficial World Cup anthem “Jungle,” tamed their roar for this live rendition of “Gorgeous.”
The song is one of the funkier tracks on the band’s debut studio album VHS, which dropped Tuesday. But for this live take, X Ambassadors gave it a “darker and sadder” twist while still keeping the tune’s original intent — exploring a relationship’s impact on self-esteem.
Frontman Sam Harris told Mashable this was the first chance he got to get back to his soul R& B roots during the writing and recording process.
