Zach Galifianakis is officially making his big return to television. FX has just picked up 10 episodes of half-hour single-camera comedy Baskets, starring the actor, who previously spent three seasons on HBO’s Bored to Death. According to a description released by the network, the show, co-created by Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel, is about a man named Chip Baskets who is pursuing his dream to become a professional clown, but after an unsuccessful enrollment at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the only job he can find is with the local rodeo. Production will begin next year and the series is scheduled to launch in 2016.
