According to a post on Pottermore on Friday, Rowling will be releasing a Harry Potter story on Oct. 31, focused on the devil incarnate herself Dolores Umbridge. The Pottemore announcement reads, the new story will provide a 1,700-word backstory about Umbridge, including new details, plus Rowling’s revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character. Harry Potter fans will remember Umbridge as the most sadistic cat lady to have ever lived, torturing Harry and other students during her time as Hogwarts headmistress in the fifth book Order of the Phoenix.
