Infamous whistleblower Edward Snowden’s girlfriend Lindsay Mills was onstage at the Oscars on Sunday night.
The pretty model was the mystery woman who stood by director Laura Poitras and Glenn Greenwald’s side as they accepted the Best Documentary award for their film Citizenfour, about the exiled Snowden, who fled America after revealing all about the country’s national security efforts and sparking calls for his arrest.
Snowden has been exiled ever since, but he was thrilled by Poitras’ Oscars win, releasing a statement that reads: “When Laura Poitras asked me if she could film our encounters, I was extremely reluctant. I’m grateful that I allowed her to persuade me.
