Boyhood star Ethan Hawke isn’t sore over losing out at the Oscars. In fact, he’d like to continue his losing streak.
In an interview with the London Evening Standard, the actor, who has received four Oscar nominations but never won, said one of his “acting ambitions is to beat Peter O’Toole, who got eight [Academy Award] nominations and never won [apart from an honorary one],” Hawke said.”I’ve fought all my wars with caring too much about criticism, made my peace with it. I felt like Obi-Wan Kenobi at the Oscars: ‘Strike me now and I’ll be even stronger.'”
