Ratings for Sunday night’s Neil Patrick Harris-hosted Oscars were anything but legendary.
In fact, they were kind of a bummer.
Preliminary ratings indicate the 87th Annual Academy Awards fell 14% in total viewers, drawing 34.6 million viewers in fast national ratings. That number is expected to tick up a bit in final ratings.
Last year’s Ellen Degeneres-hosted show garnered 40.2 million total viewers in fast national ratings and eventually rose to 43.7 million.
