While it may not be Thursday, it’s time for a throwback—and a pretty epic one at that!
You may recall Eddie Redmayne’s recent interview for Glamour magazine, in which he revealed that he and Prince William were on the same rugby team at Eton College. The Oscar-nominated star told the publication, “He’s a wonderful man,”—and now, more than a decade later, photographic evidence of the two charming lads as classmates has surfaced.
The old-school image sees the Golden Globe winner and the 32-year-old royal posing with their rugby team—William with a full head of hair and Redmayne flashing his delightful grin.
Another image shows the two standing side-by-side in the back of a shot with their schoolmates, who were all members of The Eton Society, or Pop as it’s known, the most prestigious club at the independent boarding school.
Although the red-headed hunk and the soon-to-be father of two failed to keep in touch after school, Redmayne has nothing but kind things to say about Queen Elizabeth’s grandson. In fact, he revealed that Williams’ status as a member of the monarchy made him quite an easy target.
The Jupiter Ascending star previously admitted, “I always felt slightly sorry for him because everyone wanted to tackle the future king of England. He took all the hits.”
