Jack Black is set to take the stage at the Oscars. Show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced Thursday that the actor and lead singer of Tenacious D will make “a special appearance” at the awards ceremony. Zadan and Meron said in a statement, “Jack Black is a complete original comic voice and we’re beyond thrilled that he has agreed to join the Oscars show in a very special sequence. Black is the latest performer announced to join the awards show, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and also featuring an original song by Frozen songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen-Anderson Lopez. Additionally, Common, John Legend, Rita Ora, Tim McGraw and Adam Levine will perform to represent the original song category. The Oscars will be held on Feb. 22nd at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and will air live on ABC at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
