Jeremy Clarkson has admitted that his sacking from BBC’s Top Gear was his “own silly fault.”
The presenter, who was dismissed from the show following an investigation into a “fracas” with a producer, added that his departure had “left a huge hole” in his life.
“I was very sad, it was my own silly fault so I could hardly complain,” he told listeners to the breakfast show.
He also admitted he had taken calls from other broadcasters interested in the Top Gear team, but refused to get drawn into speculation over the possibility of transferring to Sky or Netflix. “No, I haven’t had a single meeting,” he said. “I’ve just been listening.”
