When Kate Hudson appeared at the American Cinematheque Gala to honor friend and rom-com partner Matthew McConaughey, she treated the audience to an impeccable impression of the actor, beyond the standard, Alright, alright, alright. In her tribute, Hudson recounted a story about the two taking scuba diving lessons to prepare for their (admittedly terrible) 2008 movie Fool’s Gold . The actress, who had just gone through a divorce, said she was staring at the water when McConaughey’s glistening head popped up from under the surf. He then told her, “Come ooon, Hudson. Let’s go, baby, uh-huh.”
