Looks like Katy Perry will simply have to settle for channeling her inner Cleopatra. Multiple sources confirm to E! News that the 29-year-old pop star has canceled her birthday trip to Egypt. The “Fireworks” singer, who will ring in the big 3-0 on Oct. 25 during a brief break from her wildly popular Prismatic world tour, was scheduled to travel to Egypt, where, a source said she was “planning on taking a cruise on the Nile River in Egypt and dressing up like Cleopatra.” Insiders say that Perry pulled the plug on her vacation due to political issues in Egypt. In addition to her cruise down the Nile, a second source said that Perry was also expected to travel to Morocco, South Africa and Paris.
