There seems to be something about rain and awards ceremonies this year.
Following similar measure taken during last month’s Golden Globes Awards when rain hit the L.A. area, the team behind Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony is preparing for a potentially wet day outside of the Dolby Theatre.
“We have a tent up for arrivals and the Governors Ball afterward,” an Oscars rep told The Hollywood Reporter. According to Weather.com, there is currently a 60 percent chance of rain in Hollywood for 4 p.m. PT, when Oscar coverage begins on ABC.
