HBO will be the new broadcast home to the Oscars in Asia, beginning with the 87th Academy Awards hosted by Neil Patrick Harrison on Feb. 22, 2015. HBO subscribers across 18 Asian territories will get access to a broad range of live Oscars coverage, from the nominee announcement and red carpet segments, to the 87th Academy Awards show and backstage access to the winners. Jonathan Spink, CEO of HBO Asia, from the Singapore Media Festival Tuesday said, “And for the first time in the history of the Academy Awards, viewers can watch winners backstage in a live feed, shown to Asian viewers on HBO.”
