When Kim Kardashian released “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” it became a bonafide cultural phenomenon. Experts predicted the game would make as much as $200 million by the end of the year. It turns out, however, that the game was less a lasting cultural force and more a flash in the pan.
Yahoo! Finance reports that “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” fell quite short of its projected revenue goal and is now in a “free fall” down the app charts.
The game made $43 million in the third quarter, and though the publisher, Glu Mobile, hasn’t released its fourth quarter report, experts say the game won’t come close to earning the $200 million they originally projected.
