Last night, Steve Martin received the American Film Institute’s 43rd Lifetime Achievement Award at the AFI Awards in Hollywood. The 69-year-old comedic veteran holds an honorary Oscar, five Grammys and an Emmy to name just a few. Martin was celebrated–and roasted–by many of his former co-stars and friends during the hilarious ceremony. Industry power players like Tina Fey, Mel Brooks, Martin Short, Steve Carell, Conan O’Brien, Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler and more attended. Together, they delivered a heartwarming toast to Martin’s career as an actor, screenwriter, playwright and even a magician at Disneyland during his teenage years.
