J.K. Rowling, the mastermind behind all things “Harry Potter,” is hard at work on a screenplay based on her 2001 book “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” Warner Bros. previously announced that the spinoff would be the first of a trilogy, but CEO Kevin Tsujihara told Wall Street Journal reporter Ben Fritz that it may actually end up being much more than a trilogy.
Tsujihara also revealed the tentative release dates for the first three “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” films. The first entry in the series will debut in 2016, followed by 2018 and 2020 releases for the two following films. Beyond that, however, all bets are off.
