Last night, Stephen Colbert got close enough to The Late Show desk he could taste it! Although he won’t be reigning supreme behind it just yet, David Letterman had him on as a guest for the first time since he was announced as successor, and the two dished about him taking over his position. The Late Show heir apparent also talked about how love (and lack of paycheck) got in the way of him becoming an intern there.
